after passing the board exam,
CphT, be employed by government, home care, in-clinics, Internet pharmacy, long term care, mail order prescription pharmacy, nuclear pharmacy, pharmaceutical wholesaler, and etc.; And, CphT must be direct supervised by legally responsible licensed pharmacist;
CphT, be skillful to do:
- take pt info;
- use computers to enter pt info;
- use computers to maintain inventory;
- do compounding;
- fill prescription;
- perform math calculations routinely;
- understand medical abbreviation & pharmaceutical terminology;
- interact with co-workers, customers, patients, supervisor, ... ;
CphT, be professional:
- be detail oriented e.g. pt
must receive medication exactly;
- be dependable e.g. on time at scheduled working hours;
- be trustworthy e.g. entrust with confidential pt info, dangerous substance,
expensive drug, expiration;
- be confidential e.g. pt's insurer, pt's private info, provider info of care;
- be able to maintain mental health and physical health;
- be good hygiene to perform infection free;
- be neat, clean, functional appearance with uniform clothing;
